
Taiwan’s HD Renewable Energy (TPE:6873) has acquired development rights for 795 MW of battery and hybrid solar-storage projects in Australia through its JV with Zen Energy. The deal, worth TWD 290 million (USD 8.8m), includes four greenfield projects across New South Wales, Victoria, and Queensland, featuring 695 MW of storage and 100 MW of solar capacity. One key project is a 105-MW/420-MWh battery in New South Wales, set for construction in 2026. Through their JV, ZEBRE, HD Renewable and Zen Energy are advancing a 1.4-GW solar and storage pipeline, including the flagship 210-MW Solar River project in South Australia.
