Taiwan National Climate Change Committee member says nuclear power is needed

On 31 August, Tung Tzu-hsien deputy convener of the National Climate Change Committee said that Taiwan should continue to use nuclear energy to support the reduction of carbon emissions as green energy cannot achieve this alone. Tung said he supports extending the life of Taiwan’s Kuosheng and Maanshan nuclear power plants.
