This week, Singapore will see the launch of a new marketplace for methanol and other alternative marine fuels, aimed at improving price transparency and boosting trading liquidity for greener bunkers. The GreenEnergy Trading Platform, developed by consultancy Green Marine, seeks to support the transition to methanol as a marine fuel. Green Marine has already guided major industry players, including AP Moller-Maersk, in their early adoption of methanol for shipping.
