Excess overseas production led to low-price competition and reduced petrochemical orders. However, electronic chemical materials grew, and demand for cleaning products rose due to seasonal flu and measles. Despite these gains, the Taiwan Institute of Economic Research warned of global trade uncertainties, including potential U.S. tariff increases that could impact economic stability.
