While the new LNG terminal in Kwun Tong industrial port in Taoyuan is almost completed, the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) has officially inaugurated the “Kwun Tong Industrial Port Management Group of the Ministry of Economic Affairs” on the 25 October 2024.
The Kwun Tong Industrial Port Management Group will work closely together with CPC Corporation, the operator of the third LNG terminal that will come on line early 2025, and various other entities such as customs, quarantine officials, fire protection services, police and coastal patrol to guarantee safe operations and stable power supply in the North of Taiwan.
