Formosa Petrochemical views Mailiao restart on July 26 after Typhoon

Taiwan’s FPC is looking at restarting operations at its Mailiao port on 26 July after it was shut down because of Typhoon Gaemi, one of the strongest storms to hit Taiwan in 8 years. The port at Formosa Petrochemical Corporation’s Mailiao refinery was shut on 23 July out of precaution and is scheduled to be reopened at 06:00 local time on 26 July, FPC’s spokesperson K.Y. Lin said. There seems to be no impact on refinery operations, not considering potential ship delays.
