
In 2024, Chinese wind turbine OEMs dominated the global market for the first time, with Goldwind, Envision, and Ming Yang securing the top three positions, driven by strong domestic demand. China’s wind market grew 12% year-over-year, surpassing 80 GW and accounting for over 60% of global capacity. Meanwhile, Western OEMs faced a 9% decline in installations outside China. Vestas led non-Chinese markets, followed by Siemens Gamesa and Nordex, with Siemens Gamesa dominating offshore wind.
