Formosa Petrochemical Corporation (FPCC), established in 1992, is Taiwan’s first privately-owned refinery and a leading producer of ethylene. The company specializes in crude oil refining, the sale of petroleum products, and the production and sale of olefins—including ethylene, propylene, butadiene, and BTX—through its naphtha cracking operations. In addition, FPCC supplies electricity, steam, and other utilities from its co-generation power plants to facilities within the No. 6 Naphtha Cracker Complex. FPCC has been listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange under the symbol 6505.TW since December 2003.
